Wow, have some "down time" at work, perusing all things horse - - still trying to wrap my brain around the horrible loss that Boyd Martin and his team suffered this week. Amazed at how at the worst possible times in life, the best of human nature tends to shine through. Seeing how a community can rally around those in need. Wondering - how can one insignificant person make a difference in someone else's life?
But, also thinking about my son Brett, my husband and my horse - Wilson! I probably spend 80% of my day thinking about them. Worrying if I am a good enough "mother" to both of them, an adequate wife (most days - probably not). Trying to figure out who will pay for all of Brett's therapy as an adult so he can straighten out all the things I did wrong! (Oh,wait - that's for a totally different type of blog!)
Thinking about how having horses in my life has shaped it into what it is today. Wondering if those around me who are "not into horses" will ever "get" my obsession. Maybe doing a blog will help them understand! And Thanking God for those around me who DO get it! Because you see, without horses in my life - I would not have met some of the most gracious people in the world! I have some of the most wonderful friends in the world!
Anyway - got to get back to work!
